Bob holds a B.A. (Binghamton University, 1967) and a M.B.A. (University of Kentucky, 1981). Employed by Thomson McKinnon Securities, Inc. (1968-1978), he held the position, among others, of Vice President & Director, Financial Planning. Mr. Bova founded Moneywatch Corporation in 1980 to provide fee based financial planning. He reviews all accounts and determines the investment strategy and selection of investments for clients. He is responsible for banking, accounting and payroll. He resides in Naples, Florida (September-May) and in Lexington, Kentucky (June-August).

Ramsey is responsible for managing MAI’s daily business environment, daily operations and for preparing financial plans and retirement plans for clients. Ramsey joined the firm in August of 1998, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in finance from Clemson University. As Chief Compliance Officer, she is responsible for administering those policies and procedures. She annually reviews these policies for adequacy and effectiveness and stays current on any Proposed Rules from the SEC. Ramsey, her husband Robert Hammond, and their two sons, Pierse and Chase, reside in Lexington.

Robert J. Hammond is responsible for expanding Moneywatch’ s personalized services to a vibrant market of entrepreneurs and professionals who are looking for a trustworthy partner in building wealth for their family’s future.
A Londoner by birth who began his career in sales and business management in England’s thoroughbred industry, Robert has made his mark in Central Kentucky through his affiliations with important horse operations, including Darby Dan Farm and WinStar; and successful racehorses, such as Shackleford and Super Saver. In addition to his new position, Hammond will continue to serve as vice chairman at Darby Dan Farm.
He will use his horse industry knowledge and the lessons learned in building successful businesses in this arena to help create a satisfying and secure financial future for individuals and their families. Robert also will focus on working with entrepreneurs in all fields, who often find that operating demands take priority over personal needs like retirement funding and education planning.
Robert graduated from Southampton University in England with a degree in Environmental Science and is currently enrolled at the College for Financial Planning working towards the educational requirements to sit for the CFP® exam. He is married to Ramsey Bova, president of Moneywatch Advisors. They live in Lexington with their two sons, Pierse and Chase.
Stephen R. Byars
With 25 years’ experience as a Moneywatch client, Steve joined the firm at the beginning of 2017. Prior to joining the team, Steve was the Assistant Vice President for Government Relations at the University of Kentucky for almost 13 years and has developed a passion for helping people achieve their own financial independence after experiencing first-hand how the Moneywatch team guided him and his wife, Lisa Blackadar, and their two children to greater financial success. After completing the coursework required to earn the Certified Financial Planner designation in 2015, Steve sat for and passed the CFP exam in 2016. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. He serves on the boards of directors of both the YMCA of Central Kentucky and the God’s Pantry Food Bank as well as Commerce Lexington’s Public Policy Council.
Assistant Director of Financial Planning
Joe is responsible for supporting the lead advisors. With a desire to work more closely with individual investors, Joe transitioned into personal financial planning after serving as treasury manager in higher education. He joined the team in June of 2013. He and his wife, Dr. Karen Schell, reside in Lexington with their two sons, Charlie and Ollie. He is an active member of Financial Planning Association (FPA) and National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He holds an associate degree from the University of Kentucky and working towards satisfying the CFP Board education requirements.
William H. Leffler, Certified Financial Planner™
William has been associated with the firm since August of 1986. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, Hebrew Union College and College for Financial Planning. Mr. Leffler serves a variety of individuals as a financial advisor. Bill resides in Kennebunkport, Maine. He travels to the Lexington offices every three months.
Lee is responsible for company administration, technology and communication, and database management. Lee joined the firm in December of 2013. He, his wife Kim, and their two sons Cade and Caldwell, live in Lexington, KY. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Eastern Kentucky University.
